A small order of mostly woody plants from the tropics and the southern temperate zone: wood sorrels, elaeocarps and a handful of tree families. The flowers are regular and five-parted, the leaves often compound. Carnivory occurs here once, in a family with a single species in one corner of south-western Australia, and has no parallel anywhere else in the order.
